We celebrated our wedding recently at Chapel Hill Retreat.

We had to reschedule not once but 3 times in the space of a year due to Covid. We adapted quickly and actually eloped on the grounds in April 2020 during the height of the pandemic when our original wedding was meant to happen, just ourselves the celebrant and our witnesses. It was very special to us both and this was made possible by Chapel Hill Retreat extending the offer and showing such kindness and compassion. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

Then in March 2021, we celebrated our wedding with all the bells and whistles.

I have a huge respect for Di, Rebekah and Rebecca. They are absolute professionals with a huge wealth of knowledge on all types/styles and takes of weddings. They are resilient and very adaptive (in the wake of the bushfires, pandemic & recent floods). It’s always business as usual & you are treated by them as an absolute priority. They will go above and beyond, work together to ensure you get the wedding you decide upon & help coordinate your entire day. They are very responsive to emails and communication ahead of the big day.

The venue and grounds – absolutely stunning. There are many different locations on site for your ceremony – lawn, lake, bush, chapel, open air or undercover verandah. The backdrop to every spot is beautiful and very different. Such vivid colours everywhere you look. Even on a misty mountain Morning. They have a backup wet weather option too which is so good. So on the day you don’t have to panic if the sky should open up. Just rest assured that you have an option where everything can be reallocated to. The scenery is beautiful for all of your photos. The accommodation onsite happily housed our guests for the night and the newly rebuilt lake lodge for the happy couple is 6 star luxury. Wow.

We had a DJ to get everybody up on the dance floor (timeless wedding entertainment – Tim), we also used an event stylist who took things to the next level (By George Events – Leigh), our photographer knows Chapel Hill like the back of his hand so he knew exactly where to take the money shots (Peter Karp Photography). The team at Chapel Hill Retreat collaborated easily and effectively with the service providers to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day. Our hair and makeup was the wonderful Danielle Hampton. Highly recommend her. We also organised a Buffet brekkie in the morning to feed our hungry guests too. Chapel hill organised this for us. The food was delicious, the drinks package went down a huge treat and the memories, well they will last forever.

If you are looking for a wedding venue, or even a venue to celebrate an anniversary, retirement, a milestone birthday etc…then this is the venue for you. I would highly recommend the accommodation options for the happy couple at the Lake lodge and also accommodation for guests – that way people can relax and unwind thoroughly.
